Reading Reflection No. 2

1) What was the general theme or argument of the book?
- I think the general theme of the book is to have a system instead of goals. Focusing on a system will allow you to achieve goals. Focusing on a system will let you achieve small goals day by day.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
- What I realized while reading this book is that success is not going to come overnight. This connects to what we are learning in class. In class we are being taught to get out of our comfort zone, talk to people and share our ideas, be critiqued on those ideas, and then start over and take that advise and apply it to our idea. Scott Adams failed more than most and he still succeeded.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
- I like the idea of having a system instead of goals. I would have the class come up with there own system to use daily. This will allow them to not focus on a goal so much but instead allow them to achieve smaller goals by using their system.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations?
- I think the biggest aha moment for me was, what do I want? What is the Price I am willing to pay to achieve this? These are two thing that we think about all the time but we never know the answer to this question. Figuring out an answer to these two question will allow us to be successful.
