This course requires you to be very open about your self and it definitely makes you get out of your comfort zone. While taking this course I have realized it is best to just be yourself and speak your mind. I do not enjoy interviewing people or having to ask an extensive amount of questions. But, you have to get past that and do it for yourself, for a grade and to better your personal skills. 1 tip, get ahead of the work. 2. Make sure to be comfortable with and around other people. 3. Be creative!

Daniel,
ReplyDeleteI said a lot of the same things that you stated in your post. I think getting ahead of the work is very important. I am working an internship this summer so on my days off I work as hard as I can to get ahead of the work while I have the time. You do also have to get used to being around strangers and asking them questions.
Hi, Daniel!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love your picture. It says a lot and totally rings true. It is hard though, especially with a family.
I, too, wrote the same things you did. It is difficult to talk to strangers in that capacity. I usually have to talk to strangers in my line of work, but I am the one with the information and somewhat of the upper-hand. Approaching them definitely takes me out of my comfort zone. And working ahead is a must! I have missed a few assignments because I didn't read ahead and ran out of time. It sucks because this class is pretty easy, you just have to do the work. If you don't read ahead, sometimes you cant complete the work...

Hi Daniel,
ReplyDeleteI really agree that this class puts you out of your comfort zone, sometimes a little too much for me personally! I also agree that it's important to look at assignments ahead of time to stay on top of everything! I agree with Carolyn, this class is easy, just time consuming with its heavy word load at times. Great tips!

I agree with you! It definitely puts you out of your comfort zone. It is also very easy to procrastinate and get behind! I think you are right, it is important to be able to get out there and complete these assignments and to not let your comfort zone restrict you!
